I tried the Remote Desktop, but didn't care for it. I didn't like being
constrained to 8-bit color and only 1 user at a time. With VNC, I like
the fact that I can start an Winamp session and it will play through my
desktop system upstairs, especially since it's hooked up to a killer
stereo. With Remote Desktop, it would just complain about the lack of a
sound driver, even though the laptop has one. VNC makes for a neat
remote control jukebox!
