Can't you just feed them snickers bars every day or something? And did I read right that you have ferrets in the office with you? :) How are you going to get any work done?

We were woken up this morning about 5:30 AM - Ryoga (our oldest ferret - about 7 years old) was having a seizure. We had to drive to the nearest emergency vet in Springfield, VA, about 30 miles from home - we made it there in about half an hour, right at the start of rush hour. They measured his blood glucose levels at 30 mg/ml, normal is around 100 or so. Fortunately after getting IV fluids and dextrose, he was doing a lot better. We stayed there for about an hour or so, until he was stabilized and took him to his regular vet at Eastern Exotics/Pender Vet Center. So here I am at work with the other 3 ferrets waiting to hear back from the vet.
