1969, Berkeley, CA - People's Park "riots".
Clouds of pepper spray covering entire blocks, dispensed by National Guard.
Not fun.

Had stayed o'night at girlfriend's place, was walking to bus stop to go to
work,
got in wrong place at wrong time.

Hint: if ya ever go to a demonstration, be wearing a suit and tie and carrying
a briefcase. Guardsman came running over to me with wet hankie and
canteen to help relieve symptoms, even though I was just on outskirts.
Funny, they didn't do that for the protestors...
