So, I was reading this news report about how the US thinks Iraq is
placing explosives by oil fields in case of a US invasion. The article
includes this quote:

 "We certainly have very serious concerns about Saddam Hussein (news -
web sites) setting fire to the oil fields," another senior U.S. official
said.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this action completely legal? I mean,
if a country wants to blow up their own oil fields, they are allowed to,
right?

Another random thought - what if Iraq went the Ghandi route. In other
words, let the US and England invade but absolutely refuse to fire back.
Considering all the countries that are against the war, this would be a
_very_ good way to get even more countries mad at the US.
