I know what she meant, and you'll note I specified the last sentence in my
reply. 

This is because I wanted to move the conversation along, everyone seemed so
troubled by that second sentence that someone had to do something. 

When Bill, whose posts are not always comprehensible in the first place, is
so roundly condemned for pointing out that not everyone subscribes to their
own posted privacy policy AND for posting in typical Bill-speak, I get
afraid we are becoming fixated on each other's faults instead of each
other's positive qualities (which is what makes this little list worthwhile
in the first place).

That's why I took the initative and explained the rest of the letter. That
way we can just get past the attacks on the writer's flaws, avoid any
ambivalency about meaning, and MOVE ON / GET OVER IT / DO WHATEVER WE DO
WHEN SOMEONE POSTS SOMETHING WE DON'T AGREE WITH.
