I'm playing around with .NET and CFMX running on the same server and I
have not seen any issues. Also, just about every CF host runs .NET and
CFMX on the same servers and this is the first time I've heard of that.

I think the Louisville/Lexington CFUG used to meet at Quilogy but for
the last 3 months, we have been meeting at New Horizons.

Subject: My visit to Louisville

Well, I went to the Quilogy office in Louisville Friday to talk to a
.NET guru. They took me to lunch, etc.

He said there is an issue running CFMX and .NET on the same server.
Something there that CF leaves open and causes .NET to be vulnerable. I
will have to check that one out.

He showed me some stuff in C#, and while it's a lot different from what
I am doing now, reassured me I would be fine with the help of their
training.

I told them about being an advanced CF developerr versus a mediocre .NET
developer and of course, they said after their Atomic.Net class I would
be more than mediocre.

I am a little less apprehensive about making the jump, but still not
sure as to what I want to do.

I am going to try to build a little app in .NET that'd take me a day in
CF and see how long it takes.

Also, Ben, Steph, Nick, et al... they said that the CFUG meets at their
office. We ate at Rocky's and it was delish :)
