He probably means an Open-Source package...
something free that runs on Linux or Unix etc.

I really think that's it..but he forgot the name of the actual software
^_^

Take pictures form Paris for us!! :)

there's another possiblity:

I have an uber-manager in France that keeps referring to a replacement
technology for our current worldwide site content management system as
being "from opensource"

I keep asking "what package?"

He keeps saying, "the one from opensource" but hasn't provided any
links. I've got a meeting next week in Paris to discuss the possiblities
of this mystery tool "from opensource" but I'll be damned if I can find
a company called opensource, so perhaps he's just confused...

i hope so. anybody else have any clues? anyone know of a content
management tool from "opensource?" I know there are a bunch out there
that *are* open source I'd just like to know if I'm missing something...

maybe if it's open source I can convince him to go with the content
management system that I have already built and operating on our
business and unit intranets and our business web site.

here's hoping...

perhaps, perhaps, perhaps...

will
