I saw enough evidence that he at one point had them (Kurds), and he provided no evidence that he had destroyed them, therefore we had to assume that they still exist, as you assume that Saddam really does exist, even though you have no direct proof of it.

There's a flaw in your argument in that we had already seen Saddam and his sons, there were interviews with him right before the war, and we fought his military during the war. There is no question that he did indeed exist. Unlike with Saddam, we didn't see the WMD. We saw the administration pulling an old McCarthy tactic of waving around sheets of paper and saying they had evidence. We know now that McCarthy's list of names of Communists was a stack of empty papers. We still need to see what the Bush administration had. -Kevin > -----Original Message----- > From: John Stanley [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2003 8:01 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: Revisionist History > > > How come no one has brought up the fact that Iraq must not > have had Saddam or his son's there either, because they > haven't been found as well. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Kevin Graeme [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2003 8:59 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: Revisionist History > > > "As Congress prepares to launch hearings into questionable > intelligence provided on Iraq's weapons capability, President > Bush dismisses as "revisionist history" accusations that his > administration embellished reports to bolster the case for > war."
