I thought that the first time I looked at it. However, I believe you are looking at what happens if you do not answer the confirmation email after you post information. In other words say I have info I am dying to share. I post it and receive an email asking me to confirm that I made the post. If I do not reply to the confirmation email the post is trashed. If I do, the subject of the information is contacted and asked to comment. From then on the info cannot be deleted. However, before some of you rush out to make posts about politicians or institutions you don't like, the idea is to use ebay's model of self-policing; in other words, you on reading a juicy morsel, will be less inclined to believe it if it comes from someone who has never posted before or who has made posts which have been refuted.
