The Tomb Raider team looks like it will be canned.
This is a welcome change from Publishers firing teams that have actually
produced great games.

"The company recently revealed the news that Jeremy Heath-Smith had
stepped down as development director at Eidos and as managing director
of Core Design, and the new statement from Eidos said: "Since then, the
Board has been conducting a review of the Tomb Raider franchise and the
studio operations of Core Design. In recognition of the Company's need
continually to enhance the value and maximise the commercial opportunity
of one of its key franchises, for which all intellectual property rights
belong to Eidos, the Board has concluded that it will transfer
development of the franchise to its Crystal Dynamics studio in the US."

As long as it's good when it comes out I've no problem with delays.
Take the time do it right.

Of course we could have another "Tomb Raider": 8 months of delays for a
truly mediocre, severely broken product.
