Andre, I like the architectural rendering feel. I'd worry a little about implementation though. I know this is just a graphic, but is it going to be fixed-width or flexy? Right now it feels small and I don't know if it's 1:1 scale or not. And what's happening with the ruled line at the bottom? I have the same problem on my sites and that kind of bottom border always leaves me wondering.
The minimal design, while interesting is somehow lacking a little in conveying a sense that I will be getting my monies' worth. It feels like you don't have the budget for expensive design and I guess I'd wonder if you would skimp on me as well. I'm not sure the blog as a link is the best place for it. Most successful blog's I've seen are the front page of a site, and they need to be fresh. And I don't see a blog as part of a professional consulting site for clients unless you want to target your site as a destination for learning how to do things, and the consulting is somewhat secondary for those people that are impressed by your knowledge and don't have time to apply it themselves. Sorry if the critique is overly negative. It's a fine design, but I think it may not do what you want. -Kevin > -----Original Message----- > From: Andre Turrettini [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, August 05, 2003 10:43 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: site review > > > what do you guys think?? > > graphics for a side consulting company I'm starting. > > http://webmachineinc.com/ > > DRE > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Your ad could be here.
