Object Oriented Programming in Actionscript is about the best Flash book
out there. Also, Colin Moock's Actionscript the Definitive Guide is
wonderfully instructive.

As for Photoshop, I never used any books to learn the program but there
are a lot of tutorials on Adobe's site that really taught me a lot.
There are also a few high quality videos going around, I don't know them
by name but learned a lot from them.
