I hate to tell you... but Brantford's a lot more than an hour outside of Toronto.  At 3am, on a good night, you might get to Mississauga in one hour.

In typical Toronto traffic, downtown Toronto would be 1.5-3 hours from Brantford.  1.5 hours if you drive fast and don't get any major traffic snarls.

I would really be interested to see how Toronto compares to American cities for traffic.  It's the worst place I have ever lived for traffic.  I have been in Atlanta, which is supposed to be one of the worst, and it was nothing when compared to a typical drive down the DVP.
