Absolutely, you're right - it's the baggage part that makes relationships hard. Every girl I've dated before her had at least one really bad long term relationship and now wants to be "independant". I got this one fresh - she'd never been in a long term relationship before.

My personally, I could never get along with women in their early 20's.
Too much baggage/stuff to deal with. But thats just me (and the people I
dated as well). I usually go for women a bit older. Right now I'm 29 and
my girlfriend is 33
All in all though, if you get along, age is really not an issue IMHO.
Just have to make sure you are on the same page in life, or at least
reading the same book.

Um, like she's not in my age range? :-) I think that the older a man is
(reasonably) the more secure a relationship is. Women mature faster,
and it also takes a measure of experience over that of the woman to make
it work. Of course, her being a young hottie doesn hurt at all. :-)

Fine. Steal all the girls in my age range. See if I care.

j/k
One of the happiest couples I know are even further apart -- he's 35/6
and she's 23.
