You know, I used to love Southwest - cheap, quick hops from Chicago to
Kansas City or St. Louis (my usual destinations). However, I live much
closer to O'Hare, so driving to Midway for SWA is out of the question,
and American/United actually have better prices than Southwest for most
routes now. All praise bankruptcy protection! I do, however, miss
SWA's kickass honey-roasted peanuts. American only has pretzels on the
short-hop domestics.
Good luck with your surgery, Ben, and be sure to milk that handicapped
designation for all its worth!
