It's Ben and Nelda at the Outer Great Barrier Reef - Agincourt Reef, about 30 miles n/e of Port Douglas, Tropical North Queensland.
Quicksilver Cruises has a permanently-moored platform out there. Awesome day trip, would recommend it whole-heartedly. You go out to the reef on a fast wave-piercing motor catamaran. Buffet lunch, showers, changing rooms. Well done.
The turquoise water behind us is a shallow reef area. I swam all the way out there and took photos. The thin line of breakers in the background is the edge of the Continental Shelf.
