I'm sorry, but I find that a little ridiculous.
I'm not for slavery at all, but he was a product of his times. No,
doesn't make it right, but he was the Nation's first president, and if
you are an American Citizen, maybe you don't have to like all the
presidents, but he certainly helped get the nation started, and why
shouldn't he be recognized for that?


<tongue-in-cheek>Clinton's name better not be on anything in the future,
or now for that matter, he had sexual relations outside his
marriage!</tongue-in-cheek> ... how many other presidents/historical
figures/leaders have done something wrong in their lives, yet their name
adorns monuments, streets, lakes, buildings, schools, etc?

I am waiting for the uproar to change the name of the Masters golf
tournament to something else. We already cant have any schools named
after
