I worked for a year in the arctic on the DEW line. One constant
problem we had was with power outages. Apparently the local wolves
loved the insulation on the power cables from the generators to the
radar system. About once a month we'd have a blackout- some wolf was
too enthusiastic in chewing on the cables and would short them out,
and in the process fry itself.
