when my reserves unit (a rifle platoon) was conducting an arctic warfare
exercise in early March, about 100 miles north of Churchill Manitoba. It
was around 60 below, my FN froze up, and I got frostbite on all of my
toes. Then top top it all off some git of a reg forces captain wanted us to
redo our 10 mile combat run because one of my men tripped and broke his
ankle, slowing the unit down by 5 minutes. After that private went down at
mile 7 we carried him the last 3 miles and still qualified. And this git
wanted us to do the run over again.
Pardon I'm still a bit pissed off about it.
