So, I'm doing a monthly  ( or is that yearly? ) backup of all my data
files and realize it is going to take forever to back up 20+ gigs onto
CDs.  I decided its time for a DVD burner.

My main development computer doesn't have any bays left, so I need to get
an external one.  After some shopping ( both on-line and off ) I find
myself at Sam's Club staring at an 8x (DVD+R) Burner.  ( 4x for most of the
other formats ).  The burner was only $130; which was about $50 less than
the external burner (that didn't have 4x speed).

I made the decision to get the faster internal burner; figuring I'd be
able to find an external case for about the cost differential.  I was close.

This is the burner I bought

Based on what I could tell from my searching, I got a fair deal.  I'm
hoping it all fits together when the case comes.  I'm not sure why the case
needs 3 FireWire ports on it.

  I thought I'd share.
