I would think it would be much easier to read the NNTP feed from the forums
and create an interface for that. At least then you're getting all messages
in a standard format.
Heck, if you did that you could also use the same gateway to post to
alt.comp.lang.coldfusion.

I think the latest version of Fusetalk allows you to receive and send
messages from the message forum via email.
However, it costs about 2,500US.

I'm writing an agent to read the MM forums and translate each new
message into an email. Step 1 will just allow people to read MM forums
posts from email and go to a link in the email to respond. Step 2 will
be to allow direct email replies to be posted to the MM forums through a
gateway interface.

things on my plate, but you know me when it comes to a challenge. :)
