Is there anything that is somewhere in between Verity and Atomz/Google? (both functionality and price-wise)

The Google functionality has a load of technology built into it for the
"intelligent" searches

Verity is good, but not really high-level corporate power/reliability

You pay for what you get, so if you expect the free Verity (even K2) to
perform like Google, then you're whistling in the wind <g>
