We're in the midst of a a couple CFMX upgrades as well. We just upgraded
our intranet server a month or so ago and are still dealing with some
residual anomalies. Apparently verity no likey to index PDFs on Solaris.
Next up is our external site server, which we are going to be much more
careful about. I inherited so much spaghetti code here that this next
upgrade might prove to be a rather painful experience. Therapy will be
in short order.
Re: CFCs, part of my job here is to help standardize development
processes and frameworks. We're currently looking at FB4 and Mach II.
Mach II makes my brain hurt, because I am so deeply ingrained in the
procedural that I have a hard time thinking in objects, and heck, my
brain is so small that all that fancy OO stuff scares me.
Does anyone here use any other frameworks for CF work? Any impressions
of Mach II?

Ooooh! XServe! You always have the killer gear. Doesn't it rule to run
CF on a Mac now? I love it.

Funny, I just found my Jared CD a couple weeks ago and popped it in for
a listen. So very painful, yet beautiful all at the same time. Lovely.
That's the one downside to these government gigs, an MP3 server would
never fly here and our bandwidth is taxed, so streaming radio is out. As
such, I haul around my huge CD folder. I needs me an iPod.
