Per Li's message, I cannot apologize directly for whatever it is I said
that so deeply offended him. I take it all back, and apologize for
sending word to Ray's mother (or whatever).

I guess if I can't communicate with him I will have to settle for
correcting his grammar instead, so we can establish patterns in his
communication that will make his posts easier to interpret. Li probably
should have phrased his vehement accusation using the following, correct
language to make his point more effectively:

"You are just nuts. Previously, you offered me an incorrect opinion on
why my CF 6.0 upgrade was not working. Now you are trying to insult me,
this is unjust and I am highly offended.

Do me a favor and never try to communicate with me again, either in
writing or through any other medium.

If my memory is so bad, I will punish myself by drawing blood from my
arm!"

Now, besides the grammar, I notice a non-sequitur in the author's
reasoning that puzzles me. Why would anyone make comments about their
own memory as a result of some supposed offense against them? While I
suppose the author may have been making some attempt at figurative
language, it is hard to see how one idea follows from the other.

Is this proposed self-flagellation a result of some kind of inferiority
complex, or have we have just encountered a superior mind that cannot be
comprehended? I am curious to hear what other people think.
