Is this legit? I notice that his e-mail is bfo...@gmail.com instead of b...@forta.com (and Ben Forta's Google Talk user is benfo...@gmail.com).
And, it seems like a weird way to essentially announce he's leaving Adobe. So, either this is a hoax, or this is a different Ben Forta (which would seem unlikely, based on the e-mail content).
