The Information Technology & Systems Engineering Management (ISEM) Support Services Contract provides Systems Engineering and Software Development support to the various organizational Codes at NASA Headquarters. We are currently looking for 1 junior and two senior ColdFusion developers to support the very active development efforts currently underway, as well as new projects as they arise. There is a definite emphasis on securty awareness for these positions (see the job descriptions below to see if you qualify).

Junior ColdFusion Developer Position Description:
Candidate must have 1-2 years experience working on ColdFusion development teams.
The candidate should demonstrate: strong programming skills, strong communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to lay people.
Candidate must possess a strong understanding of:
- CF Security concerns (as evidenced by, a knowledge of Allaire security bulletins, an understanding of how the VAL(), IsDefined(), and ParameterExists() tags work in a security context.)Senior Cold Fusion Developer Position Description

- All ColdFusion tags and Functions
- Database structure
Candidate must have 2-4 years experience leading Cold Fusion development teams. The candidate should demonstrate: strong communication skills, strong leadership skills, the ability to identify critical pathways quickly, and effectively communicate technical concepts to lay people.
Candidate must also have at least 3 years experience with the following:
- Administering and Maintaining ColdFusion/Web/database ServersCandidate must possess a strong understanding of:
- Setting up and Maintaining ColdFusion/Verity Collections
- A programming language, like C++, Java, C, and/or strong background in Perl or other CGI scripting language.
- Cold Fusion Security concerns (as evidenced by, a knowledge of Allaire security bulletins, an understanding of how the VAL(), IsDefined(), and ParameterExists() tags work in a security context.)
- Cross-platform considerations (i.e., what kinds of data types will work on Oracle vs. SQL Server vs. Access)
- DataSources and how to set them up.
- When it's a good idea to use Session variables and when not.
- What Session variables do.
- How the application.cfm file works.
- How to create a project in Cold Fusion Studio.
