Experienced CF/SQL Programmer | New York City | Full Time My client is seeking an experienced web application developer. They develop browser-based and database-driven software (mainly in Cold Fusion) as part of their business of developing high-quality web sites and standalone products for a variety of organizations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our clients and members of our web development team to develop exciting web-based solutions. We reward creative thinkers who can rapidly develop well-designed, cleanly coded, and user-friendly web software. You must be highly proficient in web-based application development (at least 2 years experience on the web, and more as a programmer in other environments) using SQL and ColdFusion. You should know how to plan, spec, and build a large-scale database-driven web application. You should understand ASP, Java, and/or Perl and must have strong HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript skills. Knowledge of VB, C++ and XML are pluses. A degree in computer science or equivalent experience is a requirement, as is the ability to write elegant procedural and object-oriented code. You must be intimately familiar with SQL and be comfortable using database platforms from MS Access through Oracle. As important as technical chops is your coding philosophy: We're looking for solid, responsible, experienced and meticulous programmers who care about web site quality and are motivated to see projects through from concept to completion.
