To all, I posted a message on the list yesterday and one of the readers decided to hack my site. Since the site is not commercial and is only used to hold my resume and display pictures of recent trips I did not pay close attention to preventing hacks. Fortunately I was able to restore the site in about 15 mins (and if any of you hit the site during that time frame please feel free to try again) and have put together a few tips on preventing these attacks from being successful. I realize that this is not new (I first heard of if at least 2 years ago) but sometimes a little reminder doesn't hurt because obviously the hackers are still out there and frequent this list.
