Not only have I not gotten any projects from this list, I also have not gotten any projects from Guru.com, ColdFusionJobs.com, eLance.com, or any other jobs/projects web site. All of my projects have come through referrals, either from existing customers or through professional contacts I have made in the industry.
Clients feel more comfortable getting a recommendation from someone they know, I know I do the same. I think it's just a matter of too many people going for too few projects on the web sites and mailing lists. I still read the list and go through the web boards though :-) At 09:35 AM 11/28/01 +0000, Russell Brown wrote: >Hi, >I get mail from this list everyday and often think "did they get any work ?" >after a poster posts then vanishes.
