Required Experience:
Requires development knowledge, communication skills, decision-making
ability, analytical problem solving, self-motivation, business/industry
knowledge, and client focus. It typically requires minimum 1 year active
programming/systems analysis in HTML, Macromedia ColdFusion. Must have
proven experience creating Web based business solutions based on customer
requirements. Able to create prototypes, technical specifications, code to
designed solutions and complete systems test to guarantee quality
deliverables. Able to understand customer concerns, problem solve, and
bring open issues to closure. Must be flexible with ability to multi-task,
and juggle competing priorities. Knowledge/experience programming (i.e.
program design, flowcharting, coding, testing, debugging, etc.), and of
communication networks.
Required Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education in a
related discipline is required. Related work experience can be substituted
for education requirement.
Required Licenses:
None - Macromedia Certified ColdFusion Developer desired
Experience/Skills:
Programming / systems analysis in Visual Basic (highly desired) and
PowerBuilder. Experience with Fusebox methodology. Background in Oracle and
Sybase. PL/SQL development highly desired. Health care industry knowledge.
Job Duties:
Under limited direction:
- Designs, codes, installs and maintains software programs.
- Assists in the identification, evaluation, tailoring and implementation
of vendor supplied software packages.
- Evaluates the performance of installed software by utilizing available
aids to monitor trends, load and growth patterns.
- Prepares documentation for use by computer operations, applications
programming, and user personnel.
- Provides technical assistance and information to other systems software,
computer operations, application programming and internal/external customers.
- Assists the training of developers and users in the use of systems
software and related technology.
- Reviews new designs, enhancements and programs with technical staff to
improve operational efficiencies.
- Assists in design, coding and installation of database management systems.
- Creates and analyzes requirements and specifications for applications
enhancements.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Develops and maintains test plans, documents test results and makes
recommendations for improvements.
- Interacts with customers.
