Position Outline:
We are looking for a Cold Fusion Engineer for our application development team.
We are in the process of expanding our software engineering and professional services team and have several exciting large-scale web applications in the works and require two senior developers to assist in designing and building these applications. This position reports to the Manager of Engineering at NorthPoint Domain.
Maintenance and extension of our existing web-based applications is also required. The ideal candidate has experience dealing with scalability, security, reliability and maintenance issues of complex projects. Experience working with internal and external clients is required. Either a BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is also required.
Applicants must be comfortable working in cross-functional teams as well as being self-motivated, organized and detail oriented, able to meet deadlines and be dedicated to creating great products.
Responsibilities
�Act as one of the prime resources for Internet application design and development
�Analyze and convert business and system requirements into detailed system design, technical specification, and programming code
�Participate as a key member of the cross-functional design and development team through all phases of the software development project cycle
�Debug and troubleshoot existing applications
Required Experience
�5+ years of Internet application development, with at least 3 years of solid and demonstrable production experience with ColdFusion
�Production experience with ColdFusion MX
�Solid knowledge of HTML, _javascript_, XML
�3 years Microsoft SQL Server
�Proficient with indexes, stored procedures, triggers and views
�IIS management
�Experience with Spectra or other content management systems is a definite plus
�Effective communication skills
�3+ years experience within sophisticated Staging, Production and Development environments
�Comfortable discussing project details with clients
�Exceptional debugging and analytical skills required
