Description: Plans, researches, obtains, and analyzes requirements, carries out, and reports on progress for various internal MIS/IT projects. Requires 2-4 years database and application software implementation, administration, security, design, performance monitoring and tuning. Reports to Management on the status of work/projects, problem areas. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer satisfaction. Works collaboratively and has the ability to establish positive working relationships with technical staff, customers and others involved in database management. Software Developer candidates will not only be heavy developers but will have a strong knowledge of business processes and supporting complex, large-scale business applications. Confer throughout the development cycle with clients and users to determine programming and database requirements. Analyze, develop, and document user requirements. Estimate and prioritize programming requests, creating plans to meet timelines, and soliciting input from supervisor as necessary. Design routine to complex programs and database applications to meet user specifications. Design input screens for data entry. Modify existing programs and database applications. Implement new programs and database applications. Test and debug new and modified programs and database applications. Maintain documentation of all programs and applications. Perform quality control procedures on programs and applications. Perform hardware/software support responsibilities such as training users, installing and configuring hardware/software and associated equipment, keeping records of hardware/software inventory, coordinating requests for repairs and maintenance, and recommending equipment modifications or additions as necessary. Maintain a thorough knowledge of department/project/program in order to anticipate and accommodate programming needs. Maintain current knowledge of and comply with standards and policies regarding the use of hardware and software. Troubleshoot user problems. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, preferred or equivalent experience (5 years in the field). 2+ years application software implementation experience. Strong systems administration experience. Strong oral presentation and written communications skill. Outstanding time management skills. Skilled in customer interfacing skills. Analytical problem-solving skills Ability to handle critical issues effectively Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities. Ability to generate reports and statistical documentation. Project Management Experience Workflow systems ColdFusion 5/6, PHP, perl, XML, CSS, ASP, .Net, Java, VB.NET, MSSQL2000, MySQL, IIS and Apache Website development experience a MUST Experience with UNIX, Windows 2000/2003 Server environments Desirable: Experience with WAN technologies, routing protocols, and network troubleshooting.
