1. WEB DEVELOPER POSITION ecentricarts is looking for a full-time ColdFusion MX/SQL Web Developer to work on a mix of cultural/educational interactive projects and compelling corporate web applications. This is a full-time six month contract position, with the possibility of permanent employment thereafter.
Your role within the company will be to architect and program (in collaboration with other team members) creative, functional and maintainable web applications and components. Your work will be both project-based and part of an internal effort to contribute to a reusable component library. You will also be expected and encouraged to contribute to an ongoing collaborative effort to develop best practices and standards for designing and programming both procedural and object-based web applications. In addition to ColdFusion MX/SQL-based development you will also work with other web technologies on a regular basis, such as: * HTML/XHTML/CSS * XML/XSLT * Flash MX, Flash Remoting/Communication Server * At least one other of the following web development languages: Java, PHP, or C# 2. TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE A. Candidates must: * Have a minimum of 3 years of ColdFusion development experience and 3 years of web development experience. * Be an expert in HTML, CSS/CSS-P, JavaScript, CFML and XML. * Have experience doing concept and specification work for web applications. * Be an expert in database design and development (specifically MS SQL Server and Oracle). * Be experienced with the Fusebox development framework (versions 4) and Mach-ii. * Have a strong background in, and experience with, creating software applications using object-oriented design and development tools and principles, e.g.: UML; MVP architectures; design patterns... * Have at least 3 years experience programming in one other web development language, including: Visual Basic, C#, Java, or PHP. * Have excellent written and oral communication skills. B. Candidates ideally will also have: * Knowledge of web accessibility standards and guidelines. 3. OTHER REQUIREMENTS The usual stuff.
