Hi folks,

Thanks for everyones response thus far. Many of you responded with the same
questions, so I wanted to post the answers here:

RE: Bill rate

The bill rate for this project is $50 / hr. I am somewhat flexible here. If
you think you can be close to this number, I would like to hear from you.

RE: Fixed price

This will be a fixed price project. You will have the opportunity to bid on
it. My estimate for the total work is 8 to 12 weeks per developer (times 2
developers). So I expect to pay out between $16k ($50 x 40 x 8) and $24k per
developer.

Please don't reply and tell me you can do the work of two developers (or 1.5 or
1.25 developers). I think you'll find, once you get going, that the estimate I
made is pretty good.

RE: You have a team

I should have been more clear with this in my original post. I am not looking
for a *team* of people. I am looking for two skilled developers that can work
on portions of this project independently. I want to speak/interview those
individuals *directly*. I am not interested in another project manager. So,
if you lead a team, and are willing to give up two developers for 8 to 12
weeks, please have them respond to me directly.

RE: What stage/phase is this project in?

I do have detailed requirements for all the changes. And have a draft of the
design as I see it. I would like some input to finalize the design. But we
are almost in the coding phase of this project. So you should expect to spend
the majority of your time coding/testing.

RE: I don't have enough time

My guess is some of you may be able to do this quicker than 8 weeks. Which is
ok with me. And I will pay you accordingly (in other words, you won't be
penalized for finishing quicker). However understand that there will be a
(hefty) penalty clause in our contract for incomplete work. If you're still
interested in moving forward, I will be sending out a techincal test to the
candidates I select this evening. After this, I will pick the top 3
respondendts and interview/go over the details of the project.

Thanks again for everyone's time and consideration!

Best regards,

Ed.
