OVERVIEW The role is for a Senior Developer/Analyst and will initially be working on projects that create highly effective and accessible repositories of information to be utilized for this firm’s critical project requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Initial responsibilities include working on applications and support using Cold Fusion for front-end work and Unix/Perl/Sybase for the back end work. · Part of round robin production support team. · Flexibility to easily switch between and work on multiple projects as priorities change · Interaction with users. · Heavy interaction with team members. · Interaction with infrastructure team – DBAs, Global Web Services, Server team, Access Control, etc. · Candidate should be able to document specifications e.g. design specs, technical specs, etc and familiarity with SDLC. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS · General MS-Windows NT development experience (on PC/compatibles) · Cold Fusion · Unix/Perl/Sybase · Knowledge of Microsoft.net (VB.net/C#, ASP.net) · Sybase/Oracle EXPERIENCE · 3-4 years of Financial Industry experience · Good verbal and written communication skills as candidate will be interacting with end users, team members and infrastructure team members · Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis Design/Programming · Solid understanding of; client-server architectures, 3-tier architectures, database concepts · 3-Tier architecture experience · 4-5 years Web development · 5-6 years database experience · 5-6 years of general IT experience · Diligent and proactive team player with good interpersonal skills · Confident, assertive and an effective communicator · Hard-working, enthusiastic, motivated and aggressive, high energy level achiever · Focused problem solver with multi-task ability · Ability to stay calm and focused, even under pressure E-mail or fax your resume/cover letter for immediate consideration (your confidentiality is fully respected).
