ColdFusion Developer Description ----------- ReSearch Pharmaceutical Services (RPS), a leading provider of solutions to the pharmaceutical industry and #72 on Inc. magazine's 500 Fastest Growing US Companies, is looking for an experienced ColdFusion Developer to become a key member of our development team in the development and maintenance of RPS' market-leading applications for the clinical research industry. The clinical technology solutions include highly regulated, Internet-based systems that collect and manage clinical research data and facilitate the clinical research process. A solid background in hands-on development with ColdFusion MX and SQL Server is a must. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with concurrent software development using a formal software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology, preferably in a regulated industry. Object-oriented software design and IT administration skills are desired but not required. Experience with scalability, security, reliability and maintenance issues is a plus. This position requires excellent time management and communication skills. Responsibilities ---------------- - Translate requirements into efficient and well structured code. - Create and maintain clear code and design documentation. - Unit test own code. - Perform code reviews of peer code. - Conduct and document impact analyses on change requests. - Assist in test script creation and review. Required Experience ------------------- - 3+ years hands-on development experience in web/database systems. - 3+ years experience in ColdFusion, with at least one year using MX and CFCs. - 3+ years experience with SQL Server 2000 and Transact-SQL, including database design and some server administration. Must be able to write stored procedures and UDF's. - 2+ years hand-coding HTML, JavaScript and cascading style sheets. - 1+ years experience using formal SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies. - 2+ years experience in configuration and change control management.
