Mid/Senior Level ColdFusion Developer (full time) POSITION SUMMARY A highly motivated full-time Mid/Senior Level ColdFusion Developer who is eager to assist wherever possible in developing web applications as a competitive strength for the company. This role will be the primary contact for company Internet and Intranet site issues and will be responsible for designing and supporting the company's internet and intranet web sites and associated applications.
REPORTS TO Director, Information Technology GENERAL DUTIES The maintenance and development of an in-house web-based application employing ColdFusion, XML, and Flash, interfacing with databases such as IBM Universe and MS SQL Server 2000. The qualified candidate will assist with the design of browser-based applications in ColdFusion, HTML/Flash, and SQL, requirements definition and analysis, contribute to J2EE coding efforts, and develop full life cycle application documentation. Design and work within a programming framework to develop web applications using Macromedia ColdFusion MX 7, XML and SQL. Design and develop web pages using HTML and Cold Fusion MX modules. Assume a role in database design Develop full life cycle application documentation Assume a leading role in deployment of the application Mentor fellow team members and/or programmers REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 4+ years experience building internet based applications with Macromedia ColdFusion, XML and SQL Must have been sole or lead developer of at least 3 major projects Excellent SQL skills, including relational database design Demonstrated experience in business process analysis, software design, and requirements definition and documentation. Excellent communications skills, verbal and written Strong ability to work individually and as a team Familiar with unit, system, and regression testing Translate business requirements into an application technical design document, and model application architecture within the environment EDUCATION BS degree in Computer Science or computer-related field required. Six years related experience or combination of education and experience may substitute for degree requirements.
