Programmer Analyst
A Washington DC based Association is looking for qualified programmer analysts with skills in both ColdFusion and .Net. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Program analysis, design, development, and modification including trouble-shooting, testing, and debugging of assigned applications. Performing development and support tasks in a team-based software development environment. Primary responsibilities include requirements analysis, design, development and implementation of desktop and web-based software applications. Emphasis will be on business web development, utilizing relational databases including MS SQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and providing excellent service to our internal customers. Qualifications: * University or college level training leading to a bachelor's degree (Information Systems preferred) * Minimum of two years experience in software development, software support and related tools such as Microsoft Office. * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent customer service * Time management and interpersonal skills required. * Ability to generate realistic timelines * Work on multiple projects simultaneously * Implement timely solutions * Quickly become proficient in relevant emerging technology products. * Experience working with one or more development technologies such as: o Cold Fusion o PHP o ASP scripting languages o Microsoft Access or Visual Basic o Using, modifying or designing database solutions. Additional experience developing software using: * MS Access * Java/J2EE * Microsoft .NET * C++ * Ability to develop in a Sun / Solaris or Linux environment is a plus.
