Nonfat Media is a small, technology-centered Web development company focused on building and supporting high-performance systems for clients in the entertainment industry. (And no, that isn't a veiled reference to the adult entertainment industry -- we're all about the mainstream, folks.) Our clients range from small companies to very large ones, and we have lots of them, which is why we decided to post this ad. Hiring for What? We're looking to add more intermediate and advanced ColdFusion developers to our team. If you know ColdFusion 6.1, have between two and five years' experience building business-critical sites driven by enterprise databases, understand and appreciate Web 2.0 concepts, know JavaScript and Ajax and why they're so important, are seriously passionate about programming for the Web, possess a keen eye for detail and could build a full-featured message board in under a week (hypothetically of course), then we want to hear from you. In other words, and in bulleted-list form: - Two-plus years experience building Web apps using ColdFusion 6.1 - Two-plus years hands-on experience with SQL Server 2000 or comparable RDBMS - Ability to code original CF, XHTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript by hand - Understanding of MVC principles and how they apply to Web development - General grasp of Web-related networking concepts (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS) - Familiarity with Windows and Linux server management - Ability to gather requirements, self-manage, collaborate with others and see projects through to completion - A strong work ethic and respect for the sacred deadline - A core, driving passion to continue learning and growing as a developer How About Benefits?
