Designs and develops new tools to facilitate the daily operation of the company. Works closely with the VP of Software and Engineering to ensure the companyâs software is scalable, reliable and fault tolerant. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a senior Cold Fusion Developer, you will provide the experience and expertise necessary to maintain and improve our existing Cold Fusion based web site and in-house workflow tools. Your duties will include: ⢠Designing and implementing in-house tools to improve workflow; ⢠Troubleshooting, together with the Flash Programmers, interface issues; ⢠Actively leading and conducting tests to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability of existing code; ⢠Identifying and troubleshooting problems related to programming issues; ⢠Participating in code reviews; ⢠Ensuring the reliability of all code and the highest level of Quality Assurance; ⢠Attending technical meetings and discussions within the Software and Engineering department to disseminate techniques learned and to promote the interchange of ideas; and, ⢠Performing other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE The following experience is required: ⢠B.S. in Computer Science or other related engineering field of study; or 3 years professional programming experience in a team environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ⢠Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and concepts; ⢠Three or more years experience with Cold Fusion; ⢠Experience in at least one other programming language; ⢠Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling; ⢠Experience with one or more RDBMSâs; ⢠Experience with and focus on clear, commented, efficient, reliable and reusable code; and, ⢠Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people.
