Coldfusion Programmer: The main focus of this position consists of web programming using Cold Fusion.
Description: ⢠Work with BAâs, architects, and developers to design solutions for new application development. This work will include participating in storyboarding, prototyping new techniques and concepts, documenting APIâs, documenting decisions, providing work estimates and status on work completed, etc. ⢠Understand and appreciate the concept of separating business logic, presentation, and data and how organizing your code facilitates this division and makes it easier to work as a team and to maintain afterwards. Requirements: ⢠BA in Computer Science or other related discipline ⢠Experience working with compiled client/server or desktop languages ⢠Understanding of RDBMS: database design principles, median level SQL, stored procedures ⢠Experience manipulating XML and building web services. ⢠Be willing to learn new technologies or techniques. For example, we use the FAST search engine, program C++/Delphi client/server apps, build Java helper applications, Flex applications, Flash server, AJAX, adopt new DBâs like LDAP, etc. Preferred Experiences: ⢠Experience preparing XML schemaâs, XSLT, etc., ⢠Appreciation for code frameworks, experience with Fusebox or similar MVC models a serious plus. ⢠OOP experience and training may open doors for other work outside CF. All browser work is CF â but a lot of the back-end service functions and âfacelessâ apps are Java.
