Responsibilities: The Web Developer is responsible for the development of custom, web-based, database driven applications and the regular maintenance of existing client work in Cold Fusion/SQL or PHP/mySQL/SQL environments. The Developer works with clients to determine their needs and the project specifications and assists business development in providing the best solution possible. The Developer is the driving force behind the planning and documentation process with the ability to conceptualize both simple and complex applications and work on multiple projects/modules at a time. The candidate will work with management to fulfill business goals while ensuring adherence to internal project standards by the entire development team. Work proceeds on multiple projects or modules at any time with a large amount of diversity it the work (possibly requiring developers to apply many different programming languages and concepts in a short space of time to meet targets and deadlines). Specific Duties Include: - Provide development for all client work using programming languages such as Cold Fusion, SQL, ASP, PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS - Work with other Magma teams on internal projects - Assist other developers in client and internal projects - Adhere and contribute to development team standards - Provide timely updates to Project Coordinators and Management - Provide work estimates for contracting purposes - Deliver quality work as per agreed upon deadlines - Participate in client meetings - Be active in the development of user and technical documentation for all projects Qualifications: - 3-5 years of Web developing experience. - Superior knowledge of Cold Fusion/PHP, SQL/mySQL - Superior knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS - Knowledge of implementation considerations for different web browsers - Knowledge of the Internet and issues surrounding web development - Experience in developing database solutions in a web-based environment - Experience in assessing the needs of customers - Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook - Demonstrated experience/exposure to web related technologies such as HTML, Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, Java script, CSS This job description is intended as a guide to reflect the principal functions of the job.
