Web Application Developer Position Aperian Global, San Francisco, CA

We provide training, consulting and a suite of web tools that assist our clients globally. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Leading the architecture, design, development and deployment of our web tools. * Maintaining existing Cold Fusion 7 applications with future project of porting these applications to another language * Maintaining and creating new eLearning Flash applications * Assisting with prioritization and scheduling of maintenance and new project timelines. Qualifications include: Analysis Skills: * Ability to understand business needs and lead the technical implementation * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment * Good written/oral skills a must * Ability to follow functional specifications and translate into CF and Flash code * Ability to design the system and database schemas * Respond responsibly to aggressive deadlines Technical skills: * Must have a minimum of 3 years web development experience * Essential: Cold Fusion MX 7 * Desired: ASP.NET / Java a plus * Minimum of 3 years of SQL Server 2000 or related experience, specifically: * Create and maintain database tables * Write and run queries to retrieve and update data * Minimum of 3 years Flash experience and experience with Flash 8; Essential to know ActionScript 2.0 * Experience with deployment of applications from development/staging environments to production * General knowledge of Captivate 2 * Experience with an understanding of schema designs * Familiarity/experience with localization (foreign language adaptation) * QA experience Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications and prior experience.
