Quick note on this one. I interviewed with Verian not long back. Had it not been for some personal issues (not having anything to do with or against Verian) I would be in Charlotte right now. They have a very solid product, which has been around a long time, and is considered to be top notch within it's industry. I met with several senior managers and senior members of the development staff while I was there, and they have a great team ethic, believe heavily in personal and professional growth and development, and have an excellent understanding of 'family'. The R&D division really has a lot of fun, since they get to work with all of the cutting edge stuff day-to-day. Charlotte is a really cool town too.
