IT Analyst We are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Analyst to join our Information Technology team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This individual will report to the Applications Manager and have the following responsibilities: *Interface with other departments to determine their data and reporting needs *Monitor production databases and make changes as necessary to maintain optimal performance (e.g., by optimizing indexes and identifying slow-running queries) *Develop databases (e.g., custom views, stored procedures, database schema) *Support existing ColdFusion-based Web applications and create new ones (primarily business reporting applications) *Utilize data from internally developed applications and third-party applications to produce integrated reports *Assist with the development of a standard reporting architecture for the firm *Assist with the development of failover and disaster recovery plans for all databases and applications In addition to being self-motivated with strong organizational, documentation, and client-facing communication skills, it is essential for the candidate to have the following: *Two to four years of experience developing and managing MS SQL Server (2000 or 2005) as well as very strong T-SQL skills *Two years of experience developing internal business applications in Adobe ColdFusion 6 (or above) or a similar Web programming environment The ideal candidate will have experience with Ext JS or other JavaScript libraries, a packaged report product such as Crystal, and Microsoft Office development with VBA.
