NicheClick Media is looking for a full-time ColdFusion developer. As a CF developer, you will be responsible for assisting in improving and maintaining NicheClick Media's existing web sites and in-house tools. You will be part of a small team of 3-4 developers working out of NicheClick Media's Web laboratory in Silver Spring, MD.
What you'll be doing: As a ColdFusion Developer/Architect, you will provide experience and expertise necessary to maintain and improve our existing ColdFusion based Web site and in-house workflow tools. Your duties will include: - Assisting in the evolution of World Singlesâ architecture; - Designing and implementing in-house tools to improve workflow; - Troubleshooting performance and interface issues; - Actively leading and conducting tests to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability of existing code; - Identifying and troubleshooting problems related to programming issues; - Participating in code reviews; - Ensuring the reliability of all code; - Collaborating with other developers to disseminate techniques learned, to promote the interchange of ideas and share suggestions; - Keeping NicheClick Media's Web sites cutting edge; and, - Performing other duties as assigned. What we're looking for: - 5 years professional programming experience in a team environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and concepts; - Three or more years experience with ColdFusion; - Experience in at least one other programming language (preferably .NET or JavaScript,); - Experience developing CFX tags and CFCs; - Experience writing and optimizing stored procedures; - Solid understanding of SQL Server programming and optimization. - Experience with and focus on clear, commented, efficient, reliable and reusable code; - Flexibility, allowing you to be "on-call" periodically, during evenings and weekends, in case problems need to be fixed or urgent technical matters resolved; - Ability to take initiative and perform his/her duties pro-actively and efficiently; and, - Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that projects are finished on time.
