As an internal web development division we provides digital development services for and have a current portfolio of over 35 websites. The organisation operates in an agency style and combines the fast pace and variety of a digital agency with the team spirit and product ownership of client direct work. We are seeking an experienced senior web developer with core skills in ColdFusion (with OO skills) or C#/.Net to help us provide a scalable infrastructure for our digital businesses and our migration to a predominantly .Net environment. This is an ideal role for senior developers looking to make an entry into team leadership. The preferred candidate will be a web developer with a proven record of building high-performance, scalable websites in ColdFusion and/or .Net. As a senior member of our development team, you will contribute to our coding framework, ongoing technical architecture and quality. You will take responsiblity for the full lifecycle of websites and will contribute to training/mentoring more junior staff. As part of our migration to .Net, Blue Dragon knowledge would be highly advantageous. Full C#, asp.net, ADO, IIS and Visual Studio training will be given where necessary. Key skills: - Cold Fusion - Excellent experience of ColdFusion MX using the full CFC/OO capabilities of the language in a tiered, structured environment C#/.Net - Excellent OO design and coding knowledge RDBMS - Thorough, high level experience of MSSQL Server 2005 (preferred) or Oracle/Sybase. HTML/CSS Desirable skills, or exposure to, would include UML, Fusebox, IIS/Apache, XML/XSLT, MVC/Design patterns, SOA, Hibernate, nHibernate, Spring, Model Glue, Eclipse, Subversion Together with these skills, we are looking for an individual with an innate ability to self-manage clients, time and tasks with an outgoing, flexible approach.
