Position Requirements STG is currently looking for an Applications Engineer to support our customer at the Army Research Labs. The person in this position will be responsible for the ARL (Army Research Labs) enterprise software web application development, testing, deployment, support and maintenance. Participate as proactive team member for multiple projects. Become familiar with and support ARL software development standards and policies. Ensure proper source code documentation and maintain proper software configuration management using ARL CM tools of choice. Deliver quality/tested products on time.
In addition this person will also be responsible for the following: Conceptualize, design, develop, create, establish, support, and maintain current and future web site projects. Work with analysts to interpret business requirements and offer technical solutions. Document technical specifications using RUP and standard modeling techniques. Provide input to technical standards and development process. Design, code, debug, document and implement internet applications. Work cohesively with Government project managers to gather requirements and other pertinent information necessary to produce a working product that meets the customer expectations and need. Qualifications Bachelor of Science - Computer Science or related field or in lieu of degree...2-3 years Cold Fusion development experience with web business applications. 2 years experience in web application development with Cold Fusion, PL/SQL, HTML, XML. Cold Fusion 6.X/7.0 experience is a must. 1 years experience with CF components and OO Design (Object Oriented Design)/programming highly desired. Demonstrated working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process. Proven ability to write, test, debug and refine software applications to produce end product. Experience with software CM, Java, J2EE experience a plus. Ability to analyze software requirements and design specifications. Ability to work independently.
