Sorry for the OT message but I thought the list would be able to help me. I am looking for someone with a strong User Experience back ground. I am not interested in a designer or someone who has made aesthetically pleasing User Interfaces but rather someone who has a formal background in human factors, interface design, etc who understands how to make UI's and applications that effectively distill business requirements into effective gestures and UI components.
Having a technical background is also important (CS, Engineering, etc) as well as it would be nice if they knew some web dev platform or RIA technologies Flex. Telecommuting is generally ok as long as the consultant can go onsite for initial and follow up engagements. It is preferred that the consultant be in the North East which is where most of our customers are. Pay will be based on experience but we generally pay much higher than other consulting companies ranging from 90 to 150 USD.
