The ideal candidate for this position will have a Computer Science degree, with at least 3 years experience. Although this position is focused on ColdFusion products using MS SQL, other technologies used at Workstream include C#/.NET, Java, and Oracle. Job Description: â¢Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. â¢Maintain and modify existing programs. â¢Work with Functional and Design Specifications to ensure product adherence and quality. â¢Work with Senior Programmer Analysts, Product Managers, and Designers to recommend design and/or functional improvements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES â¢Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology. â¢Refine data and format final product. â¢Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes. â¢Maintain the SQL Database and related application components. â¢Unit test programming modifications. â¢Write new program code using prescribed Specifications. â¢Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part. â¢Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor. â¢Write and maintain programming documentation as needed. â¢Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed. â¢Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference. â¢Other duties as assigned.
